About the Course

Public–Private Partnerships (PPPs) play a critical role in enabling infrastructure development, economic diversification, and sustainable growth across both emerging and established economies. Increasingly, governments and regulatory bodies are leveraging PPP frameworks to drive local content development, ensuring that projects generate long-term value through local employment, skills transfer, supplier development, and industrial capacity building. However, without structured governance, clear contractual mechanisms, and measurable targets, PPPs may fail to deliver meaningful local economic impact beyond project execution, limiting their contribution to national development objectives.

This 5-day Public–Private Partnerships for Local Content Development training course equips delegates with the strategic, commercial, and governance knowledge required to design, structure, and manage PPPs that maximise local content outcomes. Delegates examine PPP models, contractual structures, risk allocation mechanisms, and financing strategies alongside local content policies, performance measurement frameworks, and implementation approaches, which explores supplier development strategies, stakeholder alignment, and monitoring systems that ensure sustainable economic benefits. Emphasis is placed on practical application, enabling delegates to align PPP strategies with national priorities, optimise value creation, strengthen compliance with local content requirements, and ensure long-term economic participation across diverse sectors.

Core Objectives

The delegates will achieve the following objectives:

  • Position PPP strategies within national development and local content frameworks
  • Assess PPP models, structures, and risk allocation mechanisms
  • Structure PPP agreements to maximise local content outcomes
  • Formulate local content policies, targets, and implementation frameworks
  • Integrate supplier development and workforce participation strategies
  • Evaluate PPP performance using local content metrics and KPIs
  • Optimise economic value creation through sustainable partnership models
