About the Course
In the 1980s, Artificial Intelligence (AI) was viewed by experts as thinking rationally. The prime objective was to build a system that can think. This led to the innovation of intelligent systems where the result would be close to the human thinking process. Examples are the symbolic integration and expert and rules-based systems where human thinking processes were modeled. Then, in the 1990s, the attention shifted to enabling systems to act like humans since few systems were already mature enough to think independently. Finally, the year 2000 started with making AI systems that are capable of both acting and thinking.
This 5-day interactive Certificate in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning training course will equip delegates with the knowledge, skills, and strategies to effectively leverage AI and machine learning to lead digital transformation successfully. It introduces key ideas and techniques underlying the design of intelligent computer systems. Delegates will have the opportunity to learn and develop the necessary knowledge and skills to understand the mechanism of how Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence techniques are applied to solve real-world challenges, empower innovation to survive the digital tsunami and lead digital transformation initiatives successfully in today's highly competitive milieu.
Core Objectives
The delegates will achieve the following objectives:
- Develop AI systems that are capable of both acting and thinking
- Choose the best representation to solve a problem, e.g., using visual perception
- Infer new knowledge from known knowledge using Inference logic
- Recognize and utilise machine learning main approaches
- Appreciate the benefits of Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) and Computer Vision
Training Approach
Delegates attending this training course will experience a combination of engaging lectures, group discussions, case studies, and hands-on exercises. It will provide insights into the enabling role of emerging digital technologies in shaping our world.
