About the Course

e-Procurement promotes and drives structure, governance and commercial; benefit within procurement simply through process automation, transparency of process and removal of the potential for fraudulent activities.

It was developed in the 1980’s when electronic data interchange (EDI) was first introduced and became a platform for the sharing of files and documents between organisations which then removed the need for the slow and cumbersome methodology of having to utilise physical, hand delivered documents. The development of EDI led to e-mail becoming the prime platform for data/file exchange and has ultimately led to today’s e-Procurement solutions.

E-Procurement provides many benefits but can be summarised as:

  • Task Automation
  • Procurement Task, Workflow, Control, & Governance
  • Spend Visibility
  • External Customers and Supply Chain Partners

Many organisations have implemented/adopted end-to-end e-Procurement systems that cover either part or the whole procurement cycle/supply chain and now view the use of such systems / processes as essential procurement skills.

This e-Procurement Management System training course will provide the in-depth knowledge of the benefits and practicality of procurement, aligning to the values, ethics, and morals, code of conduct, organisational perspective, and relevance in achieving the vision, mission, and goals of the organisation.
