About the Course

Artificial intelligence is changing how administrative work is processed, controlled, and delivered across organisations. Generative AI, large language models, intelligent document processing, workflow automation, and AI-enabled productivity platforms can support activities ranging from information extraction and document preparation to meeting administration, records processing, scheduling, reporting, and task coordination. Effective use, however, requires more than entering instructions into an AI application. Administrative professionals must understand how AI systems process information, how prompts and context influence outputs, where automation can be applied, how generated content should be validated, and how confidential or organisational information can be handled without compromising accuracy, security, or accountability.

This interactive 5-day Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Administrative Professionals training course develops the practical and technical capabilities required to apply AI across administrative processes and workflows. Delegates will learn to structure prompts, provide contextual information, analyse and summarise documents, extract structured data, generate and verify administrative content, automate repetitive processes, and design AI-assisted workflows. It also examines large language model behaviour, document intelligence, retrieval techniques, workflow integration, AI agents, human-in-the-loop controls, data protection, output validation, hallucination risk, access controls, governance, and performance measurement. Delegates will apply these capabilities to realistic administrative processes while maintaining appropriate human oversight, information controls, and organisational accountability.

Core Objectives

The delegates will achieve the following objectives:

  • Explain how generative AI, large language models, document intelligence, and automation technologies operate within administrative applications
  • Construct structured prompts and contextual instructions for reliable administrative analysis, generation, extraction, and classification tasks
  • Process documents, records, meeting information, correspondence, and structured data using appropriate AI-assisted techniques
  • Design automated administrative workflows integrating AI, business rules, approvals, notifications, and human verification
  • Configure AI-assisted task sequences and agent-based workflows for multi-step administrative processes
  • Validate AI-generated outputs through source verification, accuracy checks, exception handling, and human-in-the-loop controls
  • Govern administrative AI applications through appropriate data protection, access, risk, accountability, and performance controls
Training Approach

This training course combines technical presentations, guided AI applications, AI instruction-design and prompt-engineering exercises, document-processing cases, information-extraction activities, administrative data-analysis tasks, workflow-mapping exercises, automation scenarios, AI-agent applications, output-validation exercises, hallucination-testing cases, human-in-the-loop control design, information-security scenarios, and AI-governance assessments. Delegates will work through realistic administrative use cases from task definition and prompt construction through workflow automation, validation, control, and performance evaluation.
