About the Course

The global energy demand is anticipated to grow at a rate of 1-2% annually, with 70% of the world's oil assets already in the mature phase. By 2030, the annual market will be 107 million barrels per day, making it clear that efficient production operations are required to meet this demand.

This 5-day interactive Oil & Gas Production and Processing training course address the fundamental ideas and methods required to plan, specify, and oversee oil field surface production facilities. It will discuss crude oil production, oil-gas-water separation, crude oil treatment, and gas treatment processes carried out before transportation to refinery and petrochemical plants for producing fuels and other commercial products.

Various process equipment and procedures utilised in primary separation and oil-gas-water treating systems are covered subsequently. Also, crude oil properties like API gravity, BS&W, and other general chemical and physical properties determine the commercial grading of crude oil in the market. Under the gas production and treatment, various impurities in natural gas and appropriate processing methods like gas sweetening and gas dehydration to remove these impurities. The importance of process monitoring, control, and troubleshooting in managing oil & gas production operations safely and efficiently with the basic instrumentation, control systems, and safeguarding systems utilised in oil & gas processing for monitoring and controlling process parameters are reviewed in detail with the participation of the delegates.

Core Objectives

Delegates will achieve the following objectives:

  • Understand the exploration and production steps involved in the oil & gas industry and technological advancement
  • Know the oil & gas treatment process and export quality requirements
  • Different types of flow measuring devices for crude oil
  • Understand the separation & separator principle
  • Identify the different types of separators used in the oil & gas industries
  • Understand the gas treatment process to remove contaminants in the gas
  • Evaluate various process control systems applications in the oil & gas process
Training Approach
