About the Course

Organisational transformation has become a constant feature of modern workplaces as organisations respond to technological disruption, evolving market demands, and shifting stakeholder expectations. Successfully guiding these transitions requires more than well-designed strategies or operational plans; it demands a strong understanding of the human factors that influence how individuals and teams respond to change. Employees often experience uncertainty, resistance, or reduced engagement during periods of transition, and these reactions can significantly affect the success of change initiatives. Leaders must therefore recognise how psychological, social, and cultural dynamics shape workplace behaviour and learn how to manage these factors in a constructive and supportive way.

This interactive 5-day Managing and Leading Organisational Change training course integrates insights from social and organisational psychology with practical leadership tools to help delegates lead change initiatives with greater clarity and effectiveness. Delegates will explore how individuals and teams react to uncertainty, examine the social dynamics that influence collaboration and resistance, and learn strategies that promote engagement, trust, and resilience during periods of transformation. Through interactive exercises, structured discussions, and scenario-based activities, delegates will develop the ability to anticipate behavioural challenges, communicate change effectively, and strengthen alignment across teams. Upon completion, delegates will be better equipped to guide their organisations through complex change processes while maintaining team performance, organisational stability, and long-term engagement.

Core Objectives

The delegates will achieve the following objectives:

  • Understand the psychological and social dynamics of organisational change, including individual reactions, group behaviour, and cultural influences
  • Apply strategies to reduce resistance and build resilience in themselves and their teams during transitions
  • Utilise effective communication, influence, and engagement techniques to align and motivate teams throughout change initiatives
  • Leverage organisational culture, social networks, and psychological safety to implement change successfully and sustain team performance
  • Design and execute practical, evidence-based change strategies that integrate human factors and organisational goals for long-term transformation
Training Approach

This training course combines experiential learning with insights from social and organisational psychology, enabling delegates to explore realistic change scenarios, analyse human responses, and apply strategies that integrate operational and psychological perspectives through case studies, simulations, role-plays, and collaborative exercises focused on behavioural and cultural aspects of change. Through reflection, peer coaching, and applied activities, delegates develop practical tools and psychological frameworks to guide individuals, teams, and organisations through change while fostering resilience, engagement, and sustainable performance.
